SIZING
Getting the correct size is one of the most important steps when ordering a custom strap. First, you'll need to determine your wrist size. If you're not sure of your size, just wrap a string around your wrist then measure it. It's not rocket science and "close enough" works just fine. You'll also need to know the lug width of your watch. If you don't know the lug width, let me know the model and I'll look it up. Following is the basic sizing scheme that I follow:
6.5" wrist: 120/70
6.75-7.25: 125/75 (This is my most common size and is roughly equivalent to most oem straps)
7.25" -7.5": 130/80
7.5"-8": 135/85
Larger than 8": Let me know and we'll work it out.
For vintage styled straps, I'll usually build the long end of the strap a bit longer for the vintage look--140/75, 150/80, 160/85, etc. For smaller watches with narrower lug widths, I'll usually build the straps a bit thinner too as that will work better with the watch. It's all about creating balance and symmetry with your time piece.
Since I am a custom maker, I can build any lengths, widths, and thickness that you want. I usually build my straps to be approx. 4mm thick though I can build thicker or thinner per request. I prefer to build the straps in parallel widths without any taper, 24/24, 26/26, etc., as I think they just look better. That being said, if you ask nicely, I can build a tapered strap for you as well. I don't build for deployants.
For Belts, I usually just take your waist size, then add 8-9" to that. For example, if you have a 34" waist, your belt will be approx 42-43" long, end to end.
